Ashley Jacobs is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Dance and Movement Therapist with 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. Ashley attended Drexel University Westphal College of Media Arts and Design earning a Bachelor's degree in Dance with a minor in psychology. During her undergraduate course work Ashley developed a passion for helping individuals with developmental disabilities through Drexel’s community outreach programs. Ashley went on to earn her a Master's of Arts degree in in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions. Ashley now specializes in working with youth and young adults on the Autism Spectrum and works in both intensive community, educational and residential treatment settings. Ashley uses action oriented DMT interventions with individuals to promote the growth and development of frustration tolerance, impulse control, emotional regulation, and pro social problem-solving skills. Ashley's focus is always on putting the needs of those she works with first and allowing their inner creativity and expression support their emotional healing and growth.
